Yurei Deco

Yurei Deco is an original Japanese anime television series produced by Science SARU, directed by Tomohisa Shimoyama, and written by Dai Satō. It aired from July to September 2022. The story is set on Tom Sawyer Island, a data-driven metropolis where residents use a visual information device called "Deco" (Decoration Customizer) to navigate between the Super Reproduction Space and virtual space. A social credit system based on "Love" units determines social standing and the ability to expand Deco capabilities. The protagonist, Berry, is a curious girl who, due to a malfunctioning Deco, can see things others cannot, and she encounters a mysterious girl named Hack. They join the Ghost Detective Club led by Hack, a group working invisibly within the digitally controlled society to investigate the mysterious “Zero Phenomenon” and Phantom Zero. As the story progresses, Berry gradually uncovers the dark secrets behind Tom Sawyer Island. The anime explores themes of cyber society, identity, and information control, noted for its bright and arresting art style.
