Spy Classroom

"Spy Classroom" (Japanese: スパイ教室, Hepburn: Supai Kyōshitsu), also known as "Spy Room," is a Japanese light novel series written by Takemachi and illustrated by Tomari. The story is set in a world where wars are fought with spies. After a devastating war, nations realized the destructive power of weapons and shifted to espionage, using information and trickery instead of open combat. The narrative follows Klaus, the sole survivor of the elite spy team "Inferno," who recruits seven underperforming girls from spy schools to form a special team called "Lamplight." These girls, under Klaus's guidance, have only one month to learn essential spy skills to tackle a mission with a 90% failure rate. The team faces formidable challenges, battling external threats and overcoming their own shortcomings. Besides the light novel, the series has been adapted into manga and anime. The first season of the anime aired from January to March 2023, and the second season aired from July to September 2023. The series portrays the cunning tactics of espionage and the growth of the girls amidst adversity.
