"KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World" is a Japanese manga series written by Aoi Akashiro and illustrated by Sonshō Hangetsuban. The story follows Yukito, the son of a cult leader, who is accidentally killed during a sacrifice ritual and reincarnated into a world without gods. In this world, life and death are dictated by the state, and pornography is seen as child's play. Yukito, along with his new friends, rebels against fate and accidentally summons the god he believes in, Mitama, who appears as a young girl. The series is known for its absurd setting and comedic situations, blending isekai, comedy, and fantasy genres. The anime adaptation, produced by Studio Palette, aired from April to July 2023, with 12 episodes. The work has been well-received by audiences for its unique anti-cliché plot and lighthearted style.
