Beast Tamer

"Beast Tamer Exiled from the Hero's Party and the Cat-Eared Girl from the Strongest Race Meet" (Japanese: 勇者パーティーを追放されたビーストテイマー、最強種の猫耳少女と出会う) is a Japanese light novel series written by Suzu Miyama and illustrated by Hotosoka. It began as a web novel on the user-generated novel publishing site Shōsetsuka ni Narō in June 2018. It was later acquired by Kodansha, who have published nine volumes since May 2019. A manga adaptation illustrated by Moto Shigemura has been serialized in Square Enix's Manga Up! website since January 2019. An anime television series adaptation by EMT Squared aired from October to December 2022. The story follows Rein, a beast tamer expelled from the hero's party due to his perceived weakness, who meets Kanade, a cat-eared girl from the strongest race. By forming a contract with her, Rein gains immense power and gradually meets other powerful companions, eventually becoming much stronger than the hero's party. Arios, the hero, is consumed by jealousy and frustration, shifting his focus to revenge instead of his duties as a hero. The series blends fantasy, adventure, and action elements, achieving success in light novels, manga, and anime.
