Trigun Stampede

Trigun Stampede is a new anime series based on the original Trigun manga by Yasuhiro Nightow. Produced by CG Studio Orange, it premiered on January 7, 2023. Set on the desolate planet of "No Man's Land," where humans have migrated, the story follows Vash the Stampede, a gunman with an immense bounty on his head, as he tries to maintain his pacifist ideals while evading capture. This adaptation doesn't strictly adhere to the original manga's plot, but rather takes a new approach, focusing on Vash's origin story. Young reporter Meryl Stryfe and her colleague Roberto De Niro encounter Vash while investigating the rumors surrounding the "Humanoid Typhoon," embarking on a journey with him. They also meet the enigmatic priest Nicholas D. Wolfwood and become entangled in a conspiracy surrounding Vash's twin brother, Millions Knives. This series has garnered attention for its impressive CG animation, redesigned character designs, and engaging plot development. Following the conclusion of its first season, a sequel titled "Trigun Stargaze" was announced.
