Akiba Maid War (Japanese: アキバ冥途戦争, Akiba Meido Sensō) is an original Japanese anime television series produced by Cygames and P.A. Works. Set in Akihabara in 1999, the story follows Nagomi Wahira, a 17-year-old girl who dreams of becoming a cute maid. She starts working at a pig-themed maid café called "Ton Tokoton" (Pig Hut). However, Nagomi soon discovers that the world of maid cafes in Akihabara is much more cutthroat than she anticipated, filled with fierce competition, illegal activities, and violence. As the story progresses, Nagomi and her colleagues struggle to survive in this gun-filled, chaotic Akihabara, gradually uncovering the dark secrets hidden behind this seemingly adorable industry. The anime is known for its unique dark humor, over-the-top violent scenes, and plot twists, depicting a brutal world that is far from the traditional image of maids.
