Originally published on the novel posting website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in September 2018, the series was later acquired by Kodansha, who began publishing it in print with illustrations by Ai Takahashi. The story follows a 20-year-old shut-in who is transported to another world by a goddess and granted overpowered magical abilities. However, when he awakens as the newborn Prince Reinhardt, his talents are measured at Level 2. Believing him to be a failure, his royal parents abandon him in the woods. There, the prince meets Flay, a Flame Fenrir, renames himself Haruto, and begins his desired secluded life, but is forced to use his immense magic to protect those he loves.
