The Great Cleric

"The Great Cleric: White-Collar Survival in Another World" (聖者無双～サラリーマン、異世界で生き残るために歩む道～, Seija Musou: Salaryman, Isekai de Ikinokoru Tame ni Ayumu Michi) is a Japanese light novel series written by Broccoli Lion. The story follows a Japanese salaryman who is killed by a gunshot and reincarnated as Luciel, a teenager with healing magic in a fantasy-like world. To ensure a long and happy life this time, Luciel works hard to improve himself. As he rises in the ranks of the clergy, Luciel uses his powers to assist those in need, while helping restore the church's reputation, which has been tarnished by greed and corruption. He makes friends and enemies along the way. The series was originally published on the novel posting website "Shōsetsuka ni Narō" in October 2015, and was later acquired by Micro Magazine, which began publishing the series in print with illustrations by Sime in August 2016. A manga adaptation illustrated by Hiiro Akikaze began serialization on the Niconico-based manga platform in June 2017. An anime television series adaptation premiered in July 2023. The series blends isekai, reincarnation, and fantasy elements, providing an adventure-filled story with a focus on personal growth.
