"Berserk of Gluttony" (Japanese: 暴食のベルセルク) is a Japanese light novel series written by Isshiki Ichika and illustrated by fame. Set in a world where skills determine one's destiny, the story follows Fate Graphite, who is born with the seemingly useless skill "Gluttony," which perpetually leaves him hungry and leads to his discrimination. However, when he kills a fleeing thief, "Gluttony" awakens, granting him the power to devour the souls and abilities of those he kills, thus enhancing his own strength. Fate forms a partnership with a mysterious talking sword named Greed, and, hired by the benevolent holy knight Roxy Hart, begins a double life as a servant by day and a monster hunter by night. He must constantly fight to avoid losing control due to his insatiable hunger for souls, explore the true potential of his "Gluttony" skill, and strive to break free from the bonds of fate. The series has also been adapted into a manga and an anime, the anime airing in 2023. The story revolves around Fate's self-redemption and his rebellion against destiny, making it a typical isekai adventure.
