Mission: Yozakura Family

Mission: Yozakura Family (Japanese: 夜桜さんちの大作戦, Hepburn: Yozakura-san Chi no Daisakusen) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hitsuji Gondaira. It has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since August 26, 2019. The story revolves around Taiyo Asano, a high school student who becomes extremely introverted after losing his family. His only confidante is his childhood friend, Mutsumi Yozakura. However, Taiyo discovers that Mutsumi is the head of a spy family that has been around for generations, and he becomes the target of her overprotective brother, Kyoichiro Yozakura. To protect Mutsumi and himself, Taiyo marries her and joins the Yozakura family, leading to a series of spy missions and family comedy. The manga has been adapted into an anime television series by Silver Link, which aired from April to October 2024, consisting of 27 episodes. A second season was announced after the first season concluded, and is slated to premiere in 2026. The manga is digitally available in English on Viz Media's Shonen Jump website, and Shueisha also publishes it simultaneously in English for free on the Manga Plus app and website. The series is popular for its unique blend of spy family comedy and the interactions between its characters.
