"Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead" (Japanese: ゾン100〜ゾンビになるまでにしたい100のこと〜) is a Japanese manga series written by Haro Aso and illustrated by Kotaro Takata. It has been serialized in Shogakukan's seinen manga magazine Monthly Sunday Gene-X since October 2018. The story follows Akira Tendo, a 24-year-old office worker trapped in a soul-crushing job at an exploitative company. After three years of relentless overtime and workplace bullying, he finds his life meaningless. However, when a zombie apocalypse breaks out in Tokyo, he sees it not as a disaster, but as an opportunity to escape his monotonous life. He decides to create a bucket list of 100 things he wants to do before turning into a zombie, aiming to prove he is still alive and reclaim his purpose in life. Joining him on this journey are his college buddy Kencho, who aspires to be a stand-up comedian; Shizuka, a taciturn woman also escaping an abusive life; and Beatrix, a German college graduate fascinated by Japanese culture. Together, they embark on a series of exciting and often bizarre adventures across zombie-infested Japan, from eating for free at upscale restaurants to riding roller coasters and visiting haunted houses, checking items off Akira's bucket list. They also encounter other survivors with their own motivations, forming odd alliances, facing their fears, and learning the importance of friendship and the human spirit’s resilience. The manga has been adapted into various forms, including a television anime series and a live-action film.
