兵主奇魂 (2023)

"Bīng Zhǔ Qí Hún" (also known as "Soul of the Weapon Master") is a Chinese animated series released in 2022. It tells the story of Chi You, a powerful weapon master, whose physical body is destroyed, but whose soul remains intact. Legend has it that after thousands of years of reincarnation, a person among the human race will inherit Chi You's weapon master soul, unify the Mountain and Sea Realm, break the shackles set by the Yellow Emperor, and return to the Yanhuang Continent. The protagonist, Li Shi, is born with an extraordinary phenomenon, becoming the host of the remaining soul of the weapon master, and is therefore hunted by all the sects. For safety, Li Shi's parents lure away the enemies, while Yuan Chenyang takes him on the run, finally settling in Linhai City, where they hide as fishermen. To find his parents, Li Shi decides to participate in the five-yearly selection in Linhai City to enter a sect. At the same time, Bai Xiang, a master of formations from the Hou Clan of the demon tribe, simulates the power of the weapon master, developing an evil formation that can absorb the spiritual energy of living beings, trying to turn all the tribes in the Mountain and Sea Realm into food for the demon tribe. A great conspiracy is unfolding over Linhai City. This animation incorporates elements from the traditional Chinese mythology "Classic of Mountains and Seas," showcasing the story of young Li Shi as he grows and explores the truth in a world full of danger and conspiracy.
