Ishura

Ishura is a Japanese light novel series written by Keiso and illustrated by Kureta. The story is set in a fantasy world where the Demon King has died, and a host of demigods capable of defeating him have inherited the world. These powerful characters include: a master swordsman who can discern an opponent's weakness with a single glance, a lancer so fast they can break the sound barrier, a wyvern rogue who wields three legendary weapons simultaneously, an all-powerful wizard who can manifest thoughts into reality, and an angelic assassin who delivers instant death. They all strive for the title of the “One True Hero,” competing against each other, challenging powerful foes, and sparking new conflicts. The narrative revolves around these heroes in their battle to determine the mightiest. Ishura has been adapted into a manga, titled Ishura: The New Demon King War, with artwork by Meguri, serialized in Monthly Shonen Magazine. Additionally, it has been adapted into an anime television series produced by Passione. The first season aired in January 2024, with the second season planned for January 2025. The anime is available on platforms such as Disney+ and has garnered significant attention.
