"Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian," also known as "Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Alya-san" (時々ボソッとロシア語でデレる隣のアーリャさん) or "Roshidere" (ロシデレ) for short, is a Japanese light novel series written by SunSunSun and illustrated by Momoco. The story revolves around the romantic comedy between Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou, a beautiful and talented half-Russian high school girl, and Masachika Kuze, her seemingly lazy and unmotivated classmate. Alya often expresses her feelings for Masachika in Russian, unaware that he understands every word. This leads to humorous and sweet interactions. The series has been adapted into manga, an anime television series (which aired from July to September 2024, and has a second season announced), audio dramas, and a mobile game. By August 2024, the light novels had sold over 5 million copies, making it a popular romantic comedy series from Kadokawa's Sneaker Bunko imprint.
