"Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout" (Japanese: ライザのアトリエ ～常闇の女王と秘密の隠れ家～) is a Japanese role-playing game developed by Gust and released in 2019 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Microsoft Windows. It is the 21st main entry in the Atelier series and the first in the 'Secret' sub-series. The game is themed around 'Summer Memories,' following the story of Reisalin 'Ryza' Stout, a girl living on Kurken Island, and her friends as they explore the island's secrets and learn alchemy. Players gather resources, engage in real-time turn-based combat, and synthesize items using alchemy. The game introduces a new AP system and tactics level in battles, allowing players to switch between characters and trigger follow-up attacks. Players can customize Ryza's atelier and experience a rich story with character interactions. Upon release, the game received favorable reviews and became the best-selling title in the series.
