The Ancient Magus` Bride Season 2 (2023)

The Ancient Magus' Bride Season 2 (2023) is a television anime produced by Studio Kafka, adapted from Kore Yamazaki's manga of the same name. The story follows apprentice mage Chise Hatori, who is invited to enroll at a prestigious magical college in order to find a way to remove the curses she bears. Despite the reluctance of her fiancé, Elias Ainsworth, Chise accepts the invitation, believing that attending the school might help her minimize her self-sacrificing tendencies. At the college, Chise attracts the attention of her classmates and professors, who have never seen a mage in action before. However, a sinister plot is brewing behind the college's back, and Chise must determine who is friend or foe in order to stop it. The second season is divided into two parts, with the first part airing from April to June 2023, and the second part from October to December 2023. The animation staff includes director Kazuaki Terasawa, screenwriters Aya Takaha and Yoko Yonaiyama, character designer Hirotaka Katō, and music composer Junichi Matsumoto. This season focuses on Chise's experiences at the magic college, as she faces new challenges and relationships, while exploring her own identity and growth. The anime not only emphasizes fantasy adventure but also includes romance and slice-of-life elements.
