Kizuna no Allele (2023)

Kizuna no Allele is a Japanese anime television series project developed by VTuber Kizuna AI in collaboration with Isaribi Inc. The anime is produced by WIT STUDIO and Signal.MD, directed by Kenichiro Komaya, written by Deko Akao, with character designs by Shiori Asaka and Niina Morita, and music by Go Sakabe. The first season aired from April to June 2023, and the second season aired from October to December 2023. The story is set in the virtual world and follows five girls on their journey to become virtual artists at a virtual artist academy. The main character, Miracle, is inspired by virtual artist Kizuna AI and aims to win the Lapin d'Or award, the highest honor for virtual artists. The anime focuses on the growth of Miracle and her group PathTLive, as well as their friendship and challenges in pursuing their dreams. It also explores the 'deification' of Kizuna AI, which has drawn criticism from some reviewers who consider it overly commercialized and lacking an authentic portrayal of VTuber culture.
