Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again

Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again (Japanese: じいさんばあさん若返る, Jiisan Baasan Wakagaeru) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kagiri Araido. It began serialization on the author's Twitter and Pixiv accounts, and was later serialized in Media Factory's Monthly Comic Alunna magazine from 2022 to 2024, compiled into eight volumes. The story follows the lives of Shouzou and Ine Saitou, an elderly couple married for nearly sixty years. Despite not becoming wealthy or having a honeymoon, their love remains steadfast. One day, after eating a mysterious golden apple, they suddenly become young again. This newfound youth allows them to experience life in new ways, rekindling their romance as they engage in modern activities like sports festivals and video games. The series also inspires similar feelings in their younger family members. An anime television series adaptation by Gekkou began airing on April 7, 2024, consisting of 11 episodes. The anime is directed by Masayoshi Nishita with Kagiri Araido credited with the original work, Nagisa Takahashi as character designer, and Tomoki Hasegawa composing the music.
