风灵玉秀 第二章

《Soulmate Adventure》 is a Chinese animated series created by independent animator DDF and his team, Changsheng Sect. The second season premiered on July 2, 2023, on bilibili. The animation revolves around the adventures of two female protagonists: a thief named Feng Ling'er and a merchant's daughter named Bai Yuxiu. They journey together through the martial arts world, seeking the truth and confronting conspiracies. While the first season was praised for its unique dual-female lead setup, delicate character interactions, and well-designed action sequences, the second season shifted its focus to the stories of the previous generation and new characters. This led to a reduction in the main characters' screen time, sparking some dissatisfaction among viewers. Nonetheless, 《Soulmate Adventure》 is still considered a unique and sincere Chinese animation with a distinct style. The world is set in a Chinese martial arts setting, featuring a power level system including minor enlightenment realm, major enlightenment realm, grandmaster realm, and perfect realm. Despite controversies over the second season’s narrative choices, the production team has issued an apology and promised to center the plot around the dual protagonists in future episodes.
