Set in an Omegaverse world, where humans are classified into Alphas, Betas, and Omegas, each with distinct social statuses and physiological traits. "Tadaima, Okaeri" follows the daily lives of a same-sex couple, Alpha Hiromu Fujiyoshi and Omega Masaki Fujiyoshi, and their son, Hikari. Masaki is a stay-at-home spouse and parent who grapples with feelings of being a burden due to his Omega status, and is devoted to his family. The story tenderly depicts their everyday life as they navigate raising their child and handling social prejudices in their new community. The manga began serialization in 2016 and was adapted into a 12-episode anime series of the same name in 2024, produced by Studio Deen and streamed on platforms like Crunchyroll. The series explores themes of family, love, acceptance, and overcoming social prejudice. It delves into the lives of same-sex partners in society and how they face and overcome challenges in their daily routines. The manga also portrays the possibility of male Omega pregnancy and the strong emotional bonds between family members.
