Time Patrol Bon (Japanese: T・Pぼん, Hepburn: Taimu Patorōru Bon) is a Japanese science fiction manga series written and illustrated by Fujiko Fujio (Fujiko F. Fujio). It was serialized in Ushio Publishing's Monthly Shōnen World and Monthly Comic Tom from 1978 to 1986. The story revolves around Bon Namihira, an ordinary middle school student who accidentally becomes a member of the Time Patrol, and travels through time with Ream Stream, a girl from the future, and Buyoyon, a mysterious creature, to save people who were destined to die unfortunate deaths. The manga explores the complexities of time travel and the ethics of altering history. An anime television special was produced in 1989, followed by a Netflix original net animation series in 2024, which further increased its popularity. Notably, this work differs from Fujiko F. Fujio's other works, such as Doraemon, as it is aimed at teenage audiences and features more realistic and violent portrayals of historical events, incorporating more mature elements.
