The Metaverse is a loosely defined term referring to virtual worlds where users interact through avatars, often in 3D, emphasizing social and economic connections. Originating from Neal Stephenson's 1992 sci-fi novel "Snow Crash," it initially described an immersive internet accessed through VR and AR. Though used as a buzzword by companies, the concept of the metaverse is still evolving, with no clear definition. Many envision persistent virtual worlds where users can create, buy, and sell digital goods, with some also imagining interoperability between platforms. However, achieving a unified, interoperable metaverse faces both technical and commercial challenges. Currently, "the metaverse" encompasses various virtual experiences, from video games to virtual meeting spaces, even some AR-based applications. In contrast, "Bai Jia Jue: Jianghu Gui Shi Lu" is an animation set in a futuristic city, where a murder case involving an illegal robot disrupts the balance of power between different entities. Captain Bai Wuxie, a public security officer, teams up with mechanical network consultants Zhang Bingyi and Shang Weiyang, and Mosh Company's Mo Shangshuang to uncover the truth behind the scenes. The story combines technology, conspiracy, and action elements, portraying a crisis in a futuristic urban landscape.
