Back to the Great Ming

"Back to the Great Ming" (Hui Ming: Fenghuo San Yue) is a Chinese 3D animated series that premiered in 2024. The story follows Zheng Shaopeng, a high school student who dozes off during a history lesson and unexpectedly travels back in time to the Great Ming Dynasty from his textbook, finding himself in the body of a poor scholar named Yang Lin. Initially, Yang Lin struggles to adapt to ancient life, but he uses his modern knowledge to make small innovations, earning the affection of the villagers and gradually discovering his own identity. He lives through a time of both internal and external unrest, experiencing battles and witnessing the suffering of the populace. With his knowledge and abilities, Yang Lin gains access to the court, ultimately leading the Great Ming Dynasty in combating internal corruption and external enemies. This animation combines elements of time travel, history, and adventure, showcasing the struggles of a modern person in ancient times.
