A Moment But Forever

"A Moment But Forever" (Chinese title: 念无双) is a Xianxia romance drama directed by Guo Hu, starring Tang Yan and Liu Xueyi. Adapted from Shi Si Lang's novel "Unparalleled in the World," the series follows Goddess Wu Shuang who descends to the mortal realm to assassinate Yuan Zhong, the high priest of the Youhu Clan, in order to retrieve a heavenly treasure. During her mission, Wu Shuang uncovers other secrets, and the two eventually fall in love and join forces to save the world. The story is set after a war between gods and demons, where the artifact "God's Left Hand," used by Heavenly God Taihe to seal a demon, is broken and falls to the mortal realm, causing the gods to fall into eternal slumber. The high priest Yuan Zhong of the Youhu Clan obtains "God's Left Hand," making his clan the rulers of the mortal realm. To retrieve the artifact, Wu Shuang disguises herself as Yuan Zhong’s maid, but the two develop feelings for each other. Yuan Zhong also has his own agenda – to break the seal and destroy the world. After numerous trials, Wu Shuang and Yuan Zhong ultimately join hands to defeat the villain and restore order to the world. The drama consists of 36 episodes and was exclusively streamed on iQIYI International in 2024.
