Z23

Z23 is a significant character in Azur Lane, a destroyer from the Iron Blood faction and one of the four starting protagonists players can choose. In the game, Z23 is known for her serious, responsible, and meticulous personality, as well as her powerful firepower. She often appears calm, but occasionally shows a shy and cute side. Z23 plays an important role in the game's storyline, participating in many key battles and starring in the anime Azur Lane. She possesses unique skills and equipment and can further enhance her abilities through retrofitting. Additionally, Z23 has several different skins in the game, including “Philosophical Lecturer,” “Standard Smile?,” and “Distinguished Student at the Banquet.” She is also affectionately known by fans as “Nimi.” In Azur Lane's lore, she is the eldest sister of the 1936A-class destroyers, and unlike her predecessors, she and her younger sisters are referred to by code numbers rather than inherited names. Z23's historical prototype is the Nazi German Navy destroyer Z23, the lead ship of the 1936A-class.
