Kawakaze

Kawakaze is a Super Rare destroyer in Azur Lane, belonging to the Sakura Empire faction. She is the ninth ship of the Shiratsuyu-class destroyers and is considered the third of the modified Shiratsuyu (Umikaze-class). Designed by Nagishiro Mito and voiced by Yuka Iguchi, she is known for her cold demeanor and efficiency, serving as a crucial bodyguard to Nagato. Kawakaze excels in torpedo attacks, with her skill "Cutting-in Torpedo" allowing her torpedo damage to ignore armor types while also increasing it. Another skill, "Lunga Point Assault," enhances the damage dealt by allied Sakura Empire destroyers against cruisers, making her powerful in specific formations. Her exclusive gear, "Mikoto's Armored Blade," further boosts her output and survivability. Historically, Kawakaze was a distinguished destroyer, active in many key battles of the Pacific War. In the game, she is cold, but also yearns for ideals and dreams, slowly integrating into the port's life.
