Wakatsuki is a character in Azur Lane, a personification of the Japanese destroyer Wakatsuki. Designed by the artist Nishikikope, Wakatsuki has long blue hair with a prominent white hairband and blue eyes. Her default outfit includes a sleeveless white kimono top, white hakama skirt, a long-sleeved haori that resembles the Shinsengumi's blue-and-white mountaintop pattern, white knee-highs, and blue sandals with attached hull pieces. Her rigging consists of a 10 cm twin DP gun mount on her right and 610 mm quad torpedo tubes to her left, held together by a rig to her back that contains her depth charges and searchlight, with blue wings. Historically, Wakatsuki was commissioned on May 31, 1943, and was sunk by US carrier aircraft alongside Naganami and Shimakaze in a convoy run in the Philippines on November 11, 1944.
