Penelope

Penelope is a character in the game "Azur Lane," a light cruiser of the Arethusa-class belonging to the Royal Navy. In the game, she is known for her taciturn and self-willed personality, faithfully executing orders, though sometimes she appears inflexible due to her excessive loyalty. Penelope's ship is based on the real-life HMS Penelope, a British Royal Navy light cruiser, nicknamed "HMS Pepperpot" during World War II due to numerous battle scars resembling the holes of a pepper shaker. The in-game Penelope inherits this trait, with dialogue and storylines often featuring her obsession with pepper. She has deep bonds with other characters like Aurora. In gameplay, Penelope possesses good anti-air capabilities and some offensive output, performing well in low-pressure environments. She also has various skins, such as "Crimson Grotto" and "Salt-type Maid", catering to collectors.
