Maya

Maya is a heavy cruiser that appears in the game Azur Lane, belonging to the Sakura Empire faction. She is the third ship of the Takao-class, and is known for her unique personality and appearance. Unlike her sisters who have long black hair, Maya has short white hair and perked up dog-like ears. She wears a black sailor uniform with a white scarf, black knee-high socks, and black loafers, setting her apart from her siblings. In the game, Maya has a slightly cold personality and is distant towards the commander, but as her intimacy increases, she reveals a tender side. Maya's rigging consists of 5 twin main gun turrets, 2 quad torpedo tubes, and 2 smokestacks. In the game, Maya's special equipment, the 'Tōriten Tsukishiro Erimaki,' greatly enhances her anti-air capabilities, transforming her from a torpedo-focused heavy cruiser into one of the top anti-air ships. Her lines also reflect her desire for power and her admiration for Yamato. Maya's prototype was the IJN Maya, the third heavy cruiser of the Takao-class in the Imperial Japanese Navy, which was sunk in World War II.
