Roma

Roma is a playable character in the mobile game Azur Lane. She is a personification of the Italian battleship Roma. Designed by the artist Chyoel, Roma has long, dark black hair and heterochromatic eyes, one blue and one yellow, which are very distinctive. Her default outfit consists of a long white dress with a studded see-through outer layer, white detached sleeves, a red cape, a gold belt with a dagger attached, an Italian flag ribbon, and a mini crown, giving her a majestic and ornate appearance. In the game, Roma's rigging is based on the historical Roma battleship, featuring two triple 381mm main gun turrets, two triple 152mm secondary gun turrets, and additional 20mm twin AA mounts on the main turrets. Her equipment includes the Regia Marina's red-white bow marks and the Sardegna Empire emblem. Historically, the Roma saw little action due to fuel shortages after her commissioning in June 1942. She was sunk by the Luftwaffe in September 1943 while attempting to surrender to the British at Malta. This history is also reflected in the character's background. In Azur Lane, Roma's design and equipment display her grandeur as a battleship, combined with the charm of a two-dimensional character, making her popular among players. She also has two alternate skins: "Roma (Vacation Upon the Tiber)" and "Roma (White Heron of Darkest Night)."
