South dakota

South Dakota is a character in the game *Azur Lane* (アズールレーン), a battleship from the Eagle Union, belonging to the South Dakota-class. She is designed by Kaede and voiced by Tomoyo Kurosawa. Her appearance is inspired by the history of her namesake state, portrayed as a Native American woman with dark skin, two braids, and gold-colored eyes, possibly referencing the gold in the Black Hills region. In the game, South Dakota is depicted as loyal and protective, vowing to keep the Commander safe. Her attire includes a black top that exposes her chest, black hot shorts, and white thigh-high socks (or boots) with Native-inspired patterns, along with jewelry such as a leather necklace and a feathered hair ornament. Her rigging includes her 16"/45 main guns and a portion of her 5"/38 secondary battery, and she carries a shield bearing the state seal of South Dakota. Known as the "Strongest Shield," South Dakota can absorb damage taken by the fleet, transfer it to herself, and provide firepower buffs. She demonstrates a strong sense of loyalty and protectiveness towards the Commander, willing to give everything for them.
