Suruga

Suruga is a character in the mobile game Azur Lane (アズールレーン), a personification of the planned third Kii-class battleship of the Imperial Japanese Navy which was never completed. Designed by fuzichoco and voiced by Endou Aya, Suruga is known for her unique personality and appearance. She first appeared in the console spin-off game Azur Lane: Crosswave before becoming a playable character in the main mobile game during the Swirling Cherry Blossoms event in December 2019. Suruga wears a white military uniform with bike shorts, a single leg pantyhose on her left leg, and a garter strap single thighhigh on her right leg, along with a long white coat adorned with epaulettes and an aiguillette. She carries a pre-1935 IJN military sword. Her rigging consists of five twin 41 cm gun mounts. Like other IJN shipgirls, she has horns with flower hair ornaments. Suruga's story in the game highlights her struggles with being antisocial and her desire to stay unnoticed, often leading to comedic and endearing interactions with the Commander and other shipgirls. She's a popular character within the game community.
