Formidable

Formidable is a character from the game "Azur Lane" (アズールレーン). She is the third ship of the Illustrious-class aircraft carriers, belonging to the Royal Navy. Designed by the artist Kincora and voiced by Rie Kugimiya, Formidable is characterized by her elegant gothic lolita style attire and extremely long gray twintails. Her default outfit is a black and white two-tone dress with white frills, two-tone ribbons, and white pantyhose. Like her sisters, Formidable has large breasts, which are accentuated by her outfit. Due to her in-game skill that "freezes" enemies in place, players often joke that she has access to "The World". Also, because of an accident during her launching ceremony in 1937 where the hull's support structures collapsed, killing one and injuring many, she has been nicknamed "the ship that launched herself." This event is referenced in her voicelines where she expresses her dislike for being called "heavy," and that her friends and foes alike often mock her "lumbering" body. Players often joke about her heaviness and her breasts, with some depicting her as a plump woman. In the game, she is a super rare aircraft carrier, obtainable through the event "Empyreal Tragicomedy," with ship ID No. 147. Her skills slow enemies, providing strategic advantages for the fleet. Formidable was launched simultaneously on September 11, 2019, on the Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and English servers.
