Kaga (battleship)

Kaga (Battleship) is a battleship character from the Sakura Empire faction in the game "Azur Lane", distinct from the aircraft carrier Kaga of the same name. Originally designed as a battleship, historical circumstances prevented its completion, and she appears as a battleship in the game. Kaga (Battleship) boasts high firepower and durability, but has low anti-air capabilities, characteristic of Sakura battleships. Her skills increase the number of barrages as they level up, and they synergize with Akagi's skill "First Carrier Division." In terms of character, Kaga (Battleship) is warlike, preferring to solve problems through force, but also exhibits impulsiveness and immaturity. She differs visually from the aircraft carrier Kaga, with her battleship version having a blue mask on her right side and predominantly white clothing. Her historical basis is the Kaga-class battleship of the Imperial Japanese Navy, which was scrapped due to the Washington Naval Treaty. She was ultimately converted into an aircraft carrier after the Great Kanto Earthquake which destroyed the Amagi.
