Painlevé is a Super Rare aircraft carrier from the Iris Libre faction in the game "Azur Lane," with ship number 599. She is the second ship of the Joffre-class aircraft carriers, designed by Manjuu Art Group and voiced by Yuka Nukui. Her character setting is heavily influenced by the concept of "wishes," which is frequently mentioned in her dialogues. Painlevé has unique skills in the game, such as "Morningstar's Guidance," which randomly increases her and the flagship's damage or increases her aviation stat and reduces damage taken by the front vanguard, and "Holy Iris's Wishes," which provides healing for her and the vanguard fleet after launching an airstrike. Her equipment slots include fighters, torpedo bombers, and dive bombers, and she can equip special items like the "Iris Angel Feather." Historically, she was planned as the second Joffre-class aircraft carrier for the French Navy, but construction was canceled due to the outbreak of World War II. In "Azur Lane," she appears as a petite and adorable nun with unique voice lines and outfits. She has a gentle and devout personality, loves divination, often prays for the Commander, and hopes to share a common wish with the Commander.
