I-58

I-58, nicknamed "Goya" by players, is a cute submarine character in "Azur Lane." She belongs to the Sakura Empire and is renowned for her exceptional diving abilities. In the game, she is a rare purple-tier character initially awarded as a quest reward and serves as a tutorial for submarine gameplay. Her diving capacity is top-notch among all submarines, even surpassing some SSR-level ones. Although her torpedo attack power is relatively weak, it can be improved by equipping items that enhance her reload and torpedo stats. In the storyline, I-58 is based on the Japanese submarine I-58, which was completed at the end of World War II and famously sank the US heavy cruiser USS Indianapolis. She typically stays in the sea near the port, loves quiet nights, and the underwater world. Her lines and character traits reveal an introverted personality and a fondness for underwater life, making her a beloved character.
