U-522

U-522 is a character in the game Azur Lane, a submarine from the Ironblood faction. Her real-life counterpart is the German Navy's U-522 submarine. U-522 was initially introduced as a limited construction character in July 2019 and was later added to the permanent special construction pool. In the game, she is known for her friendly English colloquialisms, loves parties, always wins at hide and seek, and enjoys watching her enemies dodge her torpedoes. As a playable character, U-522 has top-tier submergence ability and special support abilities via her 'Offshore Support' skill, though her torpedo stat is relatively low. To maximize her skills, it is recommended to deploy her in a Ironblood submarine fleet. Her recommended equipment includes various submarine torpedoes, such as Mark 16, Mark 20(S), G7e, and Type 95 oxygen torpedoes, along with the Reinforced Hull and Improved Snorkel.
