U-556 (meta)

U-556 (META) is a META character in the game "Azur Lane," representing an alternate form of the submarine U-556. Unlike the original U-556, her META form is more elusive in personality and hides deep-seated pain. As the first META ship obtainable through construction, she can also be acquired through event rewards and map drops, requiring specific META crystals for limit breaking. U-556 (META) boasts high firepower, survivability, and a variety of skills, one of which triggers special barrages based on ally hits, making her a highly aggressive submarine. Although submarines are unusable in META battles, she provides strong support against Siren Fortresses and special enemies. She also possesses the ability to increase her support range by +1, synergizing with other ships to enhance team flexibility. However, U-556 (META)'s own diving ability is low, requiring enhancements through equipment or skills. Equipment choices are also a significant consideration. Her personality differences from the normal U-556, and her relationship with her "sister," have sparked discussions among players.
