Izumo

Izumo is a PR (Priority) Battleship of the Sakura Empire faction in the mobile game "Azur Lane." She is based on a design proposal for the Japanese Yamato-class battleships from World War II and was released as part of a collaboration with World of Warships. Izumo is characterized by her long purple hair, oni horns, samurai-inspired outfit, and a large katana. In the game, she is portrayed as a stern character who is verbally abusive towards the Commander, but hides a gentle nature beneath her tough exterior. Her skills include a high-probability special barrage attack, strong resistance to AP shells, and specialized abilities against the Sirens. Izumo can be unlocked through research and further enhanced with a Dragon Bone Compilation and exclusive equipment. Initially, due to her skills and the game's environment, she was not outstanding, but after gaining exclusive gear and upgrades, her damage output has significantly improved, making her a powerful battleship in difficult maps and events. Izumo is voiced by Reina Ueda and designed by Alisa.
