Cassiopeia, also known as the Serpent's Embrace, is a fictional character in League of Legends. She is the youngest and most beautiful daughter of the noble Du Couteau family of Noxus. In her quest for ancient power, she ventured deep into the crypts beneath Shurima. There, she was bitten by a gruesome tomb guardian, whose venom transformed her into a viper-like predator. Cunning and agile, Cassiopeia now slithers under the veil of night, petrifying her enemies with her baleful gaze. She initially felt disgust towards her serpentine body but eventually embraced and used this power. Cassiopeia is a treacherous manipulator who views others as tools to achieve her goals. Her abilities include: gaining movement speed, releasing poison clouds, dealing extra damage and healing against poisoned foes, and using a petrifying gaze to control enemies. She is also associated with a secret organization called "The Black Rose", and shares a family lineage with her sister, Katarina.
