the Sinister Blade Katarina

Katarina Du Couteau, also known as The Sinister Blade, is a playable character in the multiplayer online battle arena game *League of Legends* and the titular protagonist of the *Katarina* comic. Born and trained in the powerful Du Couteau house, Katarina is one of the most lethal assassins in all of Noxus. Renowned for her precision, dexterity, and ambition, Katarina is among the most loyal of Grand General Swain's agents, cutting down his enemies to secure a greater future for the empire. From a young age, she displayed a natural gift for combat, and was rigorously trained by her father, a prominent Noxian general. She yearned to do her part for Noxus, and desired the opportunity to demonstrate her hidden strengths in service of the empire and the throne. However, Katarina's recklessness and desire to prove herself often led to mistakes, such as when she bypassed her assigned target of a low-ranking officer and instead assassinated the enemy commander, nearly leading to the destruction of her father's forces, resulting in a scar on her face. She subsequently strived to correct her errors and resolved to dedicate her talents to the empire. Katarina is known for her deadly precision and unwavering loyalty to Noxus, making her a dangerous and formidable foe.
