Pyke, the Bloodharbor Ripper, is a champion in League of Legends. A renowned harpooner from the slaughter docks of Bilgewater, Pyke should have met his death in the belly of a gigantic jaull-fish; and yet, he returned. Now, stalking the dank alleys and backways of his former hometown, he uses his new supernatural gifts to bring a swift and gruesome end to those who make their fortune by exploiting others—and a city that prides itself on hunting monsters now finds a monster hunting them. In his youth, Pyke started out like many in Bilgewater, working on the slaughter docks. He found employment in a district known as Bloodharbor, where even the tide could not wash away the constant red slick on the wooden slips. He became well-acquainted with the trade, both the gruesome work and the meager paychecks. He yearned for more and successfully joined a ship's crew. Pyke displayed great talent for Buhru-style harpoon hunting, earning the title of the best harpooner of his time. However, while his ship was sailing, a Jaull Fish appeared, one of the most coveted and strongest monstrous fish in all of Runeterra, due to its oil's magical properties. Pyke jumped into the sea, trying to kill it, but the fish emitted a powerful scream, calling a herd of Jaull Fish to push the boat. The desperate captain cut Pyke's lifeline. The last thing he saw was his crewmates' horrified faces as he was devoured. Yet, inside the fish, Pyke survived. He opened his eyes to lights watching him, and a mysterious force crushed his mind, showing him visions of his companions benefiting from his death. The magical oils of the Jaul fish transformed Pyke, imbuing him with supernatural powers and a thirst for revenge and punishment. Eventually, Pyke left the monster and returned to Bilgewater, determined to seek vengeance.
