The Crystal Vanguard Skarner is a unique champion in League of Legends. He is a creature from the ancient Shuriman race called the Brackern, resembling a giant crystal scorpion. Skarner is a guardian of Ixtal and one of the founding members of the Yun Tal. He dwells deep beneath Ixaocan, listening to the earth's vibrations, always vigilant for any threats to his nation. Skarner has powerful control and initiation abilities, using crystal spires to enhance his combat and dragging enemies into dangerous positions with his tail. His abilities include empowering attacks with boulders and grabbing and suppressing enemies with his claws. Despite being an ally of Shurima in the past, Skarner has become more paranoid after experiencing war, believing that isolating Ixtal from the outside world is the only way to protect it. He is determined to defend Ixtal at any cost, even if it means becoming the root of their destruction. Skarner typically plays as a jungler or top laner, and his kit makes him a strong control threat in team fights.
