the Unshackled Sylas

Sylas, also known as "The Unshackled," is a character in League of Legends. Born in a poor district of Demacia, he exhibited the ability to sense magic from a young age. This led to his recruitment by the infamous mageseekers, who used his abilities to identify other hidden magic users. However, over time, Sylas began to question Demacia's magic policies, and came to recognize that the wealthy often escaped punishment for using magic while the poor suffered. Ultimately, when he tried to protect a young female magic user, he accidentally unleashed his own magic, resulting in multiple deaths. He was subsequently arrested and imprisoned for 15 years. While in prison, he developed a connection with a young volunteer named Lux, who helped him understand the world and smuggled him a book about petricite. This book helped Sylas discover the secrets of petricite, which can absorb magic rather than suppress it. Sylas eventually escaped from prison by using Lux's magic and began leading a revolution against Demacia, aiming to overthrow oppressive magic policies. Sylas became a revolutionary, using the magic of others to fight against Demacia, and gaining a growing following of exiled mages under his leadership. His goal is to destroy the kingdom he once served and fight for freedom for all oppressed mages.
