Bastion

Bastion, designated SST Laboratories Siege Automaton E54, is a damage hero in Overwatch. Originally designed for peacekeeping, Bastion possesses the unique ability to rapidly reconfigure into an assault-cannon turret. However, during the Omnic Crisis, Bastion units were turned against their human creators, forming the bulk of the omnics’ rebel army. Following the resolution of the crisis, nearly all were destroyed or disassembled, becoming symbols of the conflict's horror. One particular Bastion unit, severely damaged in the final battles, was left forgotten in a forest for over a decade. Reclaimed by nature, it reactivated, its combat programming largely lost, replaced by a fascination with the natural world. This curious Bastion began exploring, seeking purpose on a war-torn planet. Though gentle, when it senses danger, its core programming takes over, unleashing its arsenal. This has led to conflicts with humans, causing it to favor desolate areas. It formed a strong bond with a bird named Ganymede, and eventually, after meeting Torbjörn, began aiding the humans it once fought against.
