Baptiste

Jean-Baptiste Augustin, commonly known as Baptiste, is a Support hero in Overwatch. He is an elite combat medic and former member of the Talon terrorist organization, whom he left after witnessing their brutal actions. Baptiste grew up in Haiti and was one of the 30 million orphans created by the Omnic Crisis. He joined the Caribbean Coalition military and became a combat medic. After his service, he joined Talon for survival and wealth. However, as Talon's missions became increasingly cruel, Baptiste realized he was contributing to the cycle of violence, so he chose to leave and started aiding those in need around the globe. He is skilled at using experimental devices and weaponry to heal allies and eliminate threats. His abilities include using a Biotic Launcher to fire healing grenades and three-round bursts of bullets, using Regenerative Burst to heal himself and nearby allies, using Immortality Field to protect allies from lethal damage, and using Amplification Matrix to enhance allied damage and healing. Baptiste's backstory and abilities make him a unique and complex hero, capable of providing powerful support while also holding his own in a fight.
