Wrecking Ball

Wrecking Ball, also known as Hammond, is a Tank hero in Overwatch. He is a highly intelligent hamster piloting a mech. Wrecking Ball's mech can transform into a ball, allowing him to traverse the battlefield with great mobility. His primary weapon is the Quad Cannons, effective in close-range combat. He also has a Grappling Claw, enabling him to swing around and damage enemies with collisions. Wrecking Ball's abilities include Piledriver, which slams the ground to damage and launch enemies, and Adaptive Shield, providing temporary shields that scale with nearby enemies. His ultimate, Minefield, deploys proximity mines that deal significant damage to those who trigger them. Wrecking Ball excels at disrupting enemy formations with his high mobility, making quick engages and disengages. He's an offensive tank suitable for players who enjoy seeking opportunities. Wrecking Ball's backstory is set at the Horizon Lunar Colony, where Hammond gained enhanced intelligence through genetic modification. Following an uprising, he escaped to Earth with Winston, eventually landing in Junkertown, Australia, becoming its mech fighting champion. Wrecking Ball was officially added to Overwatch on July 24, 2018, as the 28th hero.
