Houshou Marine (宝鐘マリン) is a Japanese virtual YouTuber affiliated with Hololive Production. She is a member of Hololive Japan's 3rd Generation, "hololive Fantasy." Marine is known for her bold, fast-talking style, often making obscene jokes and playfully mocking her superiors and viewers. Although she claims to be 17 years old, her extensive knowledge of early 2000s anime and internet culture suggests she is actually older. Her character is a pirate cosplayer, dreaming of owning a real pirate ship and accumulating funds through her VTuber activities to achieve this goal. She is known for her signature greeting "Ahoy!" and is popular for bringing a variety of cultural topics to her streams, ranging from popular to niche, as well as discussions about behind-the-scenes happenings at Hololive. Marine is also a talented artist, sometimes drawing on stream and posting her work on Twitter. As of January 10, 2024, she has reached 3.01 million subscribers on her YouTube channel, making her the most-subscribed VTuber from Japan on YouTube.
