Melanite

Melanite is a 5-star Heavyshooter Sniper Operator in the game Arknights. She is notable for wielding a railgun, unlike other operators in her subclass who typically use crossbows. Formerly an experienced tester at a Columbian weapons testing company, Melanite joined Rhodes Island after contracting Oripathy, becoming a field operator. She is characterized by her calm, taciturn, and highly efficient nature. While her social skills are lacking, her combat prowess is formidable. She excels at dealing ranged AoE physical damage with her railgun and can ignore enemy physical dodge. Her skill, “Critical Burst,” fires high-damage armor-piercing bullets, dealing damage in a line, with increasing damage after multiple uses. Her module, “Fragrance Earring,” enhances her attack and defense while allowing her attacks to ignore the physical dodge of enemies directly in front of her. Melanite’s character art and 3D model are designed by redjuice, and her codename “Melanite” comes from a black variety of andradite.
