Springtrap

Springtrap is a major antagonist in the Five Nights at Freddy's series. He was originally a springlock animatronic suit called Spring Bonnie, which was later used by William Afton to hide from vengeful spirits, resulting in a springlock failure that crushed him inside. Springtrap is severely damaged, with a decayed green color, numerous holes exposing the endoskeleton and mangled flesh. As the only physical animatronic in Five Nights at Freddy's 3, Springtrap is intelligent, using vents and audio cues to stalk the player. He has appeared in various forms across the series, such as in Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted and Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery, and also features in novels and spin-offs, further developing his terrifying and complex backstory. Springtrap is one of the most iconic and feared characters in the series, embodying its horror and tragedy.
